Talent Acquisition Associate
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Associate to expand our growing Human Resources team and provide a specialized focus on talent acquisition and employee retention. This is a new position and can be performed out of our Collingwood, Barrie or Orillia offices and reports to the Human Resources Manager.
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for recruitment in a consulting engineering environment. The Talent Acquisition Associate will work with hiring managers to understand department/company needs, discuss role requirements, implement talent attraction strategies, source candidates, build relationships with candidates and secure talent. This position will work with the Marketing Coordinator to build the Tatham brand for recruitment and talent attraction. The Talent Acquisition Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders (IT, payroll, hiring managers, administration) and external contacts (post-secondary institutions, recruitment agencies, professional associations, employment programs). This role will work through the full recruitment cycle, including discussion and determination of open positions, creating job posts, advertising roles in a variety of venues, review and circulation of appropriate submissions, communication with candidates, setting up interviews, participating in interviews as required, reference checking, offer preparation and presentation, and finalizing the recruitment cycle. The Talent Acquisition Associate will assist to coordinate the new hire onboarding experience including the use of the Dayforce Onboarding module. This position will regularly communicate with the Human Resources Manager to discuss and implement recruitment and employee retention strategies. In addition, this role will provide support to the Human Resources department with other tasks as assigned.
Key Position Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a related program;
- Minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience, preferably with acquisition of technical positions;
- Designation as a CHRP or CHRL preferred;
- Demonstrated high levels of initiative;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with candidates and internal/external stakeholders;
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated implementation and application of effective employee retention strategies;
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality;
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce Onboarding is an asset; and
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
