Tatham was retained to replace a culvert at the Alpine Ski Club. While the existing culvert had served its purpose for many years providing access to several cottages and ski lifts, due to age and limited capacity for snow grooming equipment, a replacement was identified.

Working in conjunction with other continuing upgrades to the ski club’s facilities, it was important to select a structure that would meet current geometric requirements, fit within the site, blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment, and be cost-effective.

Our Bridges team identified that a structural plate corrugated steel pipe with wire mesh headwalls would best meet the ski club’s needs. The construction process was executed smoothly and efficiently, resulting in a final product that exceeded our expectations. The new culvert not only offers improved access but also enhances the overall user experience.
