Below Water Pit/Quarry Aggregate Resources Act Application

Tatham’s Hydrogeology & Geoenvironmental and Surface Water Resources departments worked collaboratively with a team of experts to prepare a Level 1 and 2 Hydrogeological Assessment Report to support a new Aggregate Resources Act application. The aggregate/pit sector is a vital part of Ontario’s construction and development industry, and our teams have provided a variety of technical support for over 30 years.

This project involved an extensive long-term groundwater monitoring program and a comprehensive water management plan incorporating our surface and groundwater expertise.

This project showcased our strengths in cross-functional collaboration, with extensive contributions from our Hydrogeology & Geoenvironmental and Surface Water Resources departments. Our teams also coordinated closely with a larger technical team including planners, groundwater modellers and a natural environment team.
