The City of Guelph was looking for ways to improve call times for the Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service. While the City’s EMS Teams are currently meeting their time response standards, moving to the downtown area can further improve the already successful regional target.
Once a building was selected, Tatham was acquired to provide a feasibility study to review and identify requirements to update the base building to meet current safety and City standards.
The ambulance parking bays are equipped with toxic gas monitoring and exhaust ventilation systems to ensure a safe working environment for staff. In addition, the building is served by a 45 kW standby generator to maintain continuous building operation during power outages.
