Tatham was retained by The Village of Burk’s Falls for the rehabilitation of a five-span deck on a girder and steel truss bridge. Connecting travellers in and out of town over the Magnetawan River, the Armstrong Bridge has been a part of the village for over 84 years.
Our Bridges team completed the detailed design for the project, including the localized recoating of structural steel elements, replacement of all expansion joints and seals, and concrete repairs.
Milling and repaving of the bridge asphalt wearing surface was also completed to ensure that the structure would be able to serve the community for years to come.
