YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka retained Tatham to complete the required geoenvironmental assessments including a Phase One and Two Environmental Site Assessment to support a Record of Site Condition.
The Phase One Environmental Site Assessment was completed to identify current and historical Potentially Contaminating Activities and the associated Areas of Environmental Concern where groundwater and/or soil may have been impacted. The Phase Two Environmental Site Assessment was then carried out to physically assess the soil and groundwater conditions to verify whether or not previous activities on-site have impacted the soil and/or groundwater. Our Hydrogeology & Geoenvironmental team conducted a comprehensive borehole drilling program to collect representative soil and groundwater samples.
The findings were compiled into a Conceptual Site Model report, detailing the site’s compliance with the applicable O.Reg.153/04, as amended, Site Condition Standards. Upon meeting all regulatory conditions our team submitted a Record of Site Condition to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks which has ultimately been reviewed and approved.
