As President of Tatham Engineering, Dan leads the company’s strategic and business development and oversees the Executive Leadership team. Dan’s extensive engineering, project management, and leadership experience spans a wide range of civil engineering disciplines, including water resources, land development, and municipal engineering.

A recognized expert in water resources, Dan specializes in floodplain management, stormwater management, and environmental implementation for development and rehabilitation/reconstruction projects. As a LEED Accredited Professional, incorporating sustainable design and environmental considerations is central to his approach.

Bill Van Ryn

P.Eng.

Bill is the Executive Vice President of Engineering Operations at Tatham. He leads the development of long-term business strategies, risk management, financial sustainability, corporate planning, and company growth.

Bill has extensive experience in a broad range of civil engineering projects, including land development, marine, municipal, structural, transportation, and water resources. He plays a crucial role in overseeing these projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet all necessary standards and requirements.

As Vice President of Building Engineering Services, David has extensive experience in multidisciplinary engineering with a strong focus on mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines. As Vice President at Tatham, Michael plays a key role in strengthening client relationships, leveraging project opportunities, and ensuring the professional delivery of engineering services. Michael provides strategic direction across all phases of projects, with a focus on transportation, land development, and municipal infrastructure.

Michael is committed to upholding the highest engineering standards, leading the development and implementation of Tatham’s Standards and the Tatham Quality Program, ensuring excellence and best practices across all offices.

Nick Millington

P.Eng.

Nick is the Vice President of Land Development Services. With expertise in site layout, servicing, and grading design, along with hydrologic modelling, natural hazard assessments, and stormwater management. Nick oversees the execution and delivery of a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional developments, from planning to design, approvals, and construction.

Bryan Stanton

P.Eng., Consulting Engineer

Bryan is a Vice President of Tatham Engineering, responsible for community development projects. His extensive experience as a professional engineer encompasses providing consulting engineering advice, expert witness testimony, senior project management, concept development, design, tendering, peer review, quality control and contract administration services on a broad range of municipal and land development projects.

Bryan’s expertise encompasses residential and commercial subdivisions, site plans, and large-scale municipal infrastructure projects, including master planning, water supply and distribution, sewage collection, road reconstruction, drainage and stormwater management, terrain modelling, and airport improvements.

Bryan is a designated Consulting Engineer with PEO, a member of the ACEC-Ontario MEA Liaison Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors and Planning Committee for ACEC-Canada.

Jeff Akitt

P.Eng.

As a Manager of Land Development, Jeff is a leader in delivering site layout, subdivision and site plans, stormwater management, municipal servicing, and grading design for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. His expertise encompasses the full lifecycle of projects, including due diligence, concept planning, detailed design, approvals, agreements, implementation, and construction oversight.

Director, Ottawa Office Manager

Jeremy Ash

P.Eng.

As the Manager of Tatham’s Ottawa branch office, Jeremy oversees office operations, project development, and delivery. His expertise in water resources and municipal engineering is applied to a broad range of projects, including residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial site plans, and road and infrastructure renewal.

Jeremy is experienced in environmental assessments, stormwater management planning, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain studies, and natural hazard assessments. He frequently contributes to engineering peer reviews for municipalities and conservation authorities, providing guidance on drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and policy reviews.

Crystal Barnard

As Tatham’s Financial Controller, Crystal oversees financial planning and operations to ensure stability and sustainable growth. With a strong background in accounting, taxation, and financial analysis, she refines financial processes, ensures compliance, and provides key strategic insights. Her expertise helps drive informed decision-making and long-term fiscal health.

Adam Bell

As Head of Client Relations and Growth, Adam leads company-wide initiatives to strengthen partnerships, drive growth, and enhance Tatham’s presence in the marketplace.

Adam brings over 20 years of experience in land development and transportation engineering, with a proven track record of driving growth strategies, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering integrated solutions for public and private sector projects. His expertise spans business development, client relationship management, and strategic planning, supported by deep knowledge of Ontario’s development landscape and active involvement with industry organizations such as Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Allan Brownridge

P.Eng.

As a Manager of the Municipal department, Allan provides leadership in project management, design, and contract administration. His expertise encompasses infrastructure renewal, road urbanization, residential subdivisions, and commercial and industrial site plans. Allan and his team work closely with public and private sector clients, preparing development charges studies, master servicing plans, functional servicing reports, and stormwater management strategies.

Bracebridge Office Manager

Ryan Mannings

C.E.T. 

Ryan manages Tatham’s Bracebridge branch office and serves as a Group Leader in the Municipal department. He leads office operations and overall project development, acquisition, and completion in the Muskoka region. Ryan’s experience spans Municipal, Water Resources, Transportation, Coastal/Marine, and Land Development engineering.

As a Muskoka native, Ryan combines his technical knowledge and familiarity with the community’s unique challenges and opportunities to deliver impactful work.

Tyler Perry

As the CAD Manager at Tatham, Tyler provides training and support to strengthen Tatham’s technical expertise across all departments. He leads initiatives to drive advancement and consistency in Tatham’s drawing environments. Tyler utilizes his experience in transportation and municipal design, as well as project management, to create practical CAD workflows and standards.

Lauren Procunier

Lauren leads Tatham’s Geomatics team, overseeing scheduling, training and ensuring the successful execution of projects. With expertise in GIS and LiDAR surveying technologies, she specializes in vehicle-based, aerial, and stationary LiDAR and has contributed to a wide range of multidisciplinary projects. Lauren is also a Transport Canada certified RPAS pilot.

Michael Sanfilippo

M.PL, P.Eng.

As the Manager of Buildings, Michael leads a diverse range of structural engineering projects with expertise including the design and inspection of buildings, bridges, culverts, and other municipal structures. Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated a dedication to fostering strong client relationships and contributing to Tatham’s strategic direction.

Randy Simpson

P.Eng.

As a Manager in the Land Development department, Randy leads his team in delivering a diverse range of surface water resources and land development projects. His experience encompasses residential subdivisions, low-rise condominiums, commercial development, golf courses, master drainage plans, bridge hydraulic design, and flood water.

Orillia Office Manager

Nick Smith

M.A.Sc., P.Eng.

Nick is the Office Manager of Tatham’s Orillia branch office and a Senior Engineer in the Buildings department. He leads office operations and overall project development, acquisition, and completion.

As a member of the Orillia & District Construction Association, Nick is dedicated to supporting the local construction industry and building strong client and contractor relationships.

Hari Sridhar

M.A.Sc, P.Eng., PMP 

Hari leads Tatham’s Water and Wastewater department with expertise in the design of pumping facilities and linear infrastructure, problem-solving related to hydraulics and water loss, asset management, condition assessment, and field testing/monitoring. Hari has designed and managed a wide range of water and wastewater projects across North America.  Hari is committed to advancing innovative solutions for water loss management and efficiency improvements.

Manager - Electrical

Steve Taylor

P.Eng.

As the Manager of Electrical, Steve leads Tatham’s Electrical department, with a decade of experience in the design of electrical power distribution systems, lighting, instrumentation and controls for water and wastewater systems. He works across municipal, land development, utility, industrial, institutional and commercial sectors, with project experience spanning substation design, overhead/underground distribution systems, PLC-SCADA system design and generator sizing. Steve provides oversight to group leaders and their teams while continuing to lead projects, building on his strong technical and leadership foundation.

Adam Timlock

P.Eng.

Adam is the Manager of Construction, leading and supporting Contract Administration and Construction Inspection across Tatham projects. Adam oversees scheduling, education, mentoring, contract compliance, claims resolution and quality control, ensuring seamless collaboration between construction and design teams for successful project execution.

Daniel Twigger

P.Eng.

As the Manager of Water Resources, Daniel specializes in stormwater management, natural hazard assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, surface water monitoring, and water balance calculations.

His experience has spanned land development, municipal infrastructure renewal, environmental assessments, and natural channel designs. Daniel is committed to compliance monitoring and quality assurance, ensuring each project meets both regulatory standards and environmental policies.

Manager - Transportation

John Velick

P. Eng. 

John leads Tatham’s Transportation department, providing leadership and technical oversight across transportation planning, traffic engineering and roadway design. With over 20 years of experience spanning both consulting and municipal government, he brings a practical understanding of how transportation projects are planned, designed, approved and delivered.

John’s expertise includes road and highway reconstruction, intersections and roundabouts, active transportation, pedestrian safety, traffic signals, traffic calming and Environmental Assessments. Prior to joining Tatham, John spent eight years as Manager of Engineering Services with the Town of Collingwood, where he led municipal infrastructure initiatives and oversaw the review of development applications. This experience gives him a strong understanding of municipal processes, stakeholder engagement and the competing technical, financial and community considerations involved in delivering successful transportation projects.

Emma is a Senior Engineer and Project Manager in the Bridges department, providing leadership and expertise in structural design, analysis, project management, and contract administration. Emma specializes in bridge and culvert design, rehabilitation, municipal class environmental assessments, and inspection, delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.
