Cedar Heights Water Infrastructure Upgrades

NORTH BAY, ON

Since 2010, our team has assisted the City of North Bay with the Cedar Heights Booster Pumping Station and Larocque Standpipe. Tatham was involved with the initial design and construction of the facility and later undertook expansion and improvement work.

The project included the design of two 4,100m³ glass-fused-to-steel water storage standpipes, two booster pumping stations rated at 62.5 L/s and 325 L/s, and approximately 6km of trunk water and sewer mains. Construction of Phase 1A of this infrastructure project was completed in April 2016 and Phase 1B was completed in October 2019.

The long-term, multi-phase project improves fire protection and water servicing to the Canadore College and Nipissing University complex and extends servicing above the North Bay escarpment to the Cedar Heights Planning Area.
