Goderich Square Downtown Revitalization

GODERICH, ON

Goderich’s Courthouse Square underwent a significant reconstruction as part of a broader downtown revitalization initiative.

Our Electrical team supported project partners throughout the design and construction process by providing lighting design and layout services, coordinating power distribution and underground infrastructure, and reviewing shop drawings.

A key feature of the project was the Town’s vision to illuminate the raised flower beds from below, creating a glow of light that would enhance the surrounding pathways. To achieve this, the engineering team collaborated closely with the lighting supplier and landscape designer to customize the planters, incorporating a recessed notch to support an inverted LED strip.

In addition to enhanced lighting features, the final design introduced wider sidewalks and lane reductions to create a more pedestrian-oriented downtown environment.
