Isabella Estates is a residential development featuring 22 upscale estate lots in the Township of Oro-Medonte. Designed to offer a balance of country living and modern convenience, the project required a thoughtful approach to site servicing and environmental protection.
Tatham Engineering provided comprehensive engineering services, guiding the development from initial conceptual design and draft plan approval through to detailed design, tendering, and construction.
A key focus of the design was ensuring environmental responsibility regarding water resources. To comply with groundwater impact guidelines, our team implemented a servicing strategy that utilized advanced individual on-site sewage treatment systems.
Additionally, we coordinated the design of new water infrastructure, including a watermain looping along Highway 12 which required close collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
To integrate the subdivision with the natural landscape, Tatham utilized digital terrain modeling to optimize the road network and lot grading. The project also involved the expansion and upgrade of an existing stormwater management (SWM) facility to ensure sustainable drainage for the new community.
