Tatham and Envision-Tatham Inc. were retained by the Town of Midland to help improve the busy and popular downtown King Steet, which was experiencing significant deficiencies with its form and function.

The King Street Rejuvenation project helped improve the area road corridors, which included the development of a consistent style and cross-section, redesign of all above- and below-ground infrastructure along King Street, and provision of administration and inspection services during construction.

The rejuvenation included road reconstruction, replacement of sanitary and storm sewers and watermains, provision of traffic signals for the safe crossing of pedestrians, installation of decorative streetlights, landscape improvements founded on a Silva Cell soil system, and streetscape improvements.
