Tatham was retained by EPCOR for the design of required pole upgrades and electrical service to accommodate the installation of six electric vehicle charging stations and the upgrade of existing event power distribution equipment.

Located in a municipal parking lot on the corner of Pine and Second streets, the addition includes two Level 3 fast chargers and two dual-port Level 2 chargers.

In order to facilitate the connection of the charging stations and reconnection of the event power service, our team worked closely with EPCOR on the design of a new transformer pole and overhead secondary connection to the new electrical service.

Tatham also coordinated with the Town of Collingwood’s electrical engineer sub-consultant on the design of the EV charger layout and calculations to determine the proposed loading and properly size the overhead secondary service.
