Tatham was retained by the City of North Bay for the rehabilitation of a section of Trout Lake Road between Mountainview Drive and Lees Road. This arterial road is a vital link connecting Highway 11/17 with Highway 63 and runs along the north shore of Trout Lake.

Improvements made to the scenic two-lane highway include a rehabilitated road pavement structure, improved roadside drainage and storm sewers to mitigate flooding, and the addition of new sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and a steel beam guiderail with proper end treatments.

Despite the challenge of insufficient cover to construct a new storm sewer, our design team was able to develop a unique solution which included a new urban cross-section while maintaining roadside ditches.
