Wolf Steel, the manufacturer of the Napoleon fireplace, barbeque, heating, and cooling products, retained Tatham to provide site design services to establish a 24,600 m² warehouse building in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
For the development to proceed, a Flood Hazard Assessment was completed for Willow Creek. Minor modifications to the existing floodplain had to be designed to facilitate construction of the warehouse, loading bays, and parking lot.
Design challenges also included incorporating a 20-meter grade change across the site and artesian groundwater conditions. An advanced Enviro-Septic sewage system was also incorporated to service the warehouse to minimize the overall footprint within the developable area on-site.
