Another phragmite removal day is in the books! A big thank you to the wonderful team at Georgian Bay Land Trust for hosting us for a fun and rewarding experience.

This year, our group worked along Twelve Mile Bay to remove the perennial, non-native species. Invasive phragmites damage Ontario’s biodiversity and ecosystems, outcompeting native plants for water and nutrients.

Kudos to Kyle, Isaac, Evan, and Jason who repped Team Tatham for the day and took advantage of our paid volunteer time program to give back in a way that’s meaningful to them!
