As part of Tatham Engineering’s ongoing commitment to growth and excellence, we are delighted to announce the strategic re-alignment of technical disciplines and adjustments to the current Vice President roles. This reorganization includes the appointment of Bill Van Ryn to Executive Vice President – Engineering Operations.
In his new role, Bill will provide oversight to all our technical disciplines. He will focus on ensuring Tatham continues to provide exceptional engineering services by overseeing the growth, operational management and project delivery of our four newly organized engineering sectors. These sectors are:
- Infrastructure
Includes Municipal, Transportation, Bridges, Water & Wastewater & Geomatics
- Community Development
Encompasses Tatham’s regional Land Development Teams
- Building Engineering Services
Comprises Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Air & Noise, and Decarbonization & Net Zero
- Water & Environment
Covers Coastal, Hydrogeology & Surface Water Resources
Bill has been with Tatham since 1989 and has served as Executive Vice President for the past five years. He is a designated Consulting Engineering with PEO, and has been meaningfully involved in a diverse range of projects covering all disciplines of engineering, from planning through design and construction.
This depth of experience uniquely positions him to lead our technical disciplines, ensuring that Tatham continues to deliver innovative and high-quality engineering solutions.

This restructuring announcement follows news of Tatham’s recent expansion, which includes the opening of a new office in Guelph and the addition of David Clark as Vice President of Building Engineering Services.
